Färnäs (S) is a versatile outdoor knife featuring a full-tang construction, a blade made of Swedish stainless steel, and a sleek linseed oil-treated ash wood handle. Färnäs (S) features a full-tang blade running through the handle, providing strength and stability in every cut. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of Swedish stainless steel and features a shaped spine line – a decorative grind along the spine near the tip, inspired by historical Morakniv models. The linseed oil-treated ash wood handle offers a comfortable grip and gives the knife a timeless Scandinavian look.

Whether hiking, spending time at camp, or exploring the outdoors, Färnäs is built to be used. The full-tang construction provides the strength needed for demanding tasks such as carving, cutting branches, and building shelters.

Sleek and ergonomic ash wood handle

The handle is made from light FSC®-certified ash wood treated with linseed oil to enhance the natural character of the wood, complemented by contrasting black screws. The functional grip heel and finger guard provide a comfortable grip and good control in different grip positions. The black vegetable-tanned leather sheath features a belt loop and protects the edge from damage.

Swedish stainless steel with Scandi Grind

The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of Swedish stainless steel (12C27) with a hardness of 58 HRC. The knife has a full tang for strength and stability and features a Scandi Grind edge with a polished blade. A decorative shaped spine line near the tip is a design detail inspired by older Morakniv models.

Named after the village of Färnäs in Mora

The knife takes its name from the village of Färnäs in Mora, a historic settlement with medieval roots and one of Sweden’s oldest preserved timber storehouses. The knife builds on the Ash Wood series in a more stripped-back design with a new expression. It is made in Mora, Sweden, with 135 years of Swedish knife-making tradition.
