Morakniv launches Amberg and Risberg – two new outdoor knife series
Morakniv launches two new outdoor knife series: Amberg and Risberg. Both are made in Mora and built on 135 years of Swedish knife‑making expertise, yet designed to meet different needs in outdoor life. Risberg is simple to use and well suited as a first outdoor knife for those looking to spend more time outdoors. Amberg, with its refined design and carefully considered features, is developed for those ready to take the next step in their outdoor interest.
Two knife series, one shared heritage
Since 2016, Eldris, Kansbol and Garberg have been part of Morakniv’s modern outdoor range. With the introduction of Amberg and Risberg, the range expands further. They are both built on the same foundation of tradition, functionality and thoughtful design, yet adapted to meet more needs and ways of spending time outdoors. Amberg and Risberg feature barrel‑shaped handles referencing classic Morakniv models, with patterned grip surfaces inspired by the traditional Dalarna folk costume. The colors are drawn from the nature of Dalarna, and the names originate from nearby fäbodar (traditional summer pasture farms). Behind the launch lies extensive product development, incorporating new materials, improved ergonomics, and an entirely new design and construction to ensure durability and reliable performance over time.
