The Woodcarving Knife 122 (LC) is designed for detailed carving and well suited for chip carving thanks to its narrow, pointed 62 mm blade with a straight edge. The full rat-tail tang and laminated carbon steel give the knife strength, flexibility, and long-lasting sharpness, while the Scandinavian birch handle sits comfortably in the hand.
Straight edge for decorative cuts
Since the edge is positioned along the straight side of the blade, this model is well suited for chip carving where you cut decorative patterns and details into wood. The full rat-tail tang that runs through the handle adds strength, while the tapered blade shape offers precision.

The barrel-shaped handle in oiled Scandinavian birch is designed to sit well in the hand, even during extended carving sessions. The knife comes with a plastic sheath.
Tough carbon steel for control and durability
The 2.7 mm thick blade is made from French laminated carbon steel (100CR6), with a carbon steel core surrounded by softer steel. This gives the knife excellent edge retention and the toughness to withstand lateral pressure. The blade reaches a hardness of 58.5 HRC and has a polished finish that protects against rust, but should always be wiped and oiled after use.
