Refined design. Reliable performance for outdoor life.

Amberg combines thoughtful design with dependable functionality in nature. The knife is made to feel natural in the hand, to be used often, and to last over time – from everyday adventures to longer trips in forests and mountains.

Amberg is named after a historic summer pasture in Mora Municipality, with origins dating back to the early 1600s

Strength, Balance, Precision – Built to Be Used

The four Amberg models are versatile and sleek outdoor knives for those looking to take the next step in their outdoor life. Strong enough for tougher tasks, yet agile enough for precise work and food preparation, it’s a knife to grow with.

Classic Scandi grind or Full Flat

The Amberg (S) and (C) feature the Scandi Grind's durable edge with long-lasting sharpness and easy maintenance in the field, while the Full Flat grind reduces friction for clean cuts.

Purpose-driven blade performance

Designed for hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, and everyday outdoor use.

Ferro rod compatible spine

Ground spine for efficient spark striking and practical fire preparation on all models except Amberg Full Flat (S).

Improved Handle for All Grips and Conditions

Amberg features a thoughtfully designed handle with a flatter shape that fits more users and supports a wide range of grips. It narrows towards the front and includes ridges along the spine for improved control during precision work.

The fine friction pattern has been laboratory tested to ensure a secure grip even when wet, cold, or greasy. A three-component construction combines a sturdy PP core with an outer TPE layer, delivering the ideal balance of strength, comfort, and control.

An Expanded Outdoor Family

Since 2016, Eldris, Kansbol, and Garberg have been part of Morakniv’s outdoor segment — each developed with a clear purpose and rooted in our heritage of functional design.

With Amberg and Risberg, the outdoor family continues to grow — designed and engineered on the same foundation of tradition, functionality, and thoughtful design. During the spring, more models will be released within the Amberg series, and in the fall an additional knife series will be launched. All to meet different needs and different ways of enjoying the outdoors.
