On October 1, Morakniv launches a new version of the iconic survival knife. Garberg Grand shares the same trusted construction as the original Garberg – now with a longer and more powerful blade, more strength, and greater capability.

Longer Blade - powerful enough to take down smaller trees

Garberg Grand is available in two versions:
  • Garberg Grand (S): Swedish stainless steel 14C28.
  • Garberg Grand Black Blade (C): German carbon steel C100S with black DLC coating.
Both versions feature a 142 mm long and 3.2 mm thick full tang blade with a Scandi grind, providing strength and stability in every cut. The longer blade makes the knife powerful enough to fell smaller trees and handle demanding tasks in the wild. The full tang blade runs through the entire handle with an exposed tang that can be used for batoning, scraping, or striking sparks. The spine is compatible with a ferro rod, and the ergonomic handle with a Dalarna inspired pattern provides a secure grip even in wet or cold conditions. Garberg Grand comes with an exclusive dark brown sheath made of European, LWG certified, vegetable tanned leather.

“Taking an already iconic knife to the next level requires both expertise and attentiveness to users worldwide. Together with ambassadors, customers, and suppliers, we have created a new, improved blade and a refined leather sheath that I believe is the best and most appealing we’ve produced in recent years. We are proud to present a complete knife that delivers world-class function and design,” says Mikael Helgesson, Project Manager in Morakniv’s product development team.
