The practical survival kit is mounted on the sheath and includes a ferro rod, diamond sharpener, and reflective cord. The full-tang knife has a 3.2 mm thick stainless steel blade, and the exposed tang at the rear can be used for scraping or striking sparks.

Garberg (S) with Survival Kit features a 3.2 mm thick blade in Swedish stainless steel (14C28N), hardened to 58 HRC. The steel offers excellent edge retention, high durability, and requires minimal maintenance. The Scandi grind provides strength in every cut and is easy to resharpen in the field.
